Junho Lee as Cashier

Netflix confirmed production of the series 'Cashier' and announced the casting of actors Lee Jun-ho, Kim Hye-jun, Kim Byeong-cheol, and Kim Hyang-gi.

'Cashierro' is a life-friendly superhero story about Kang Sang-woong, an ordinary civil servant who gains a superpower that makes him as strong as the cash he holds in his hand, and saves the world by saving his salary. Based on the popular Kakao Webtoon of the same name, which received great love for its novel materials and characters that go beyond imagination and a story that is close to reality, 'Cashierro' is about a man who has nothing in a world where money has become power, but has humanity. The emergence of new heroes will be portrayed in a cathartic way.

Lee Jun-ho, who enjoys global popularity with successive hit dramas such as 'King the Land' and 'Red Sleeves', transforms into 'Kang Sang-woong', who is as powerful as the cachet he possesses. Kang Sang-woong, an ordinary community center official whose dream is to own his own home, accidentally inherits an unexpected supernatural power and his life changes 180 degrees. Expectations are high for Lee Jun-ho's transformation, which will dynamically depict Kang Sang-woong's struggle in the amazing reality that he can use as much superpower as the cash in his hand, but the money disappears after he uses it.

Kim Hye-joon, who has shown off her presence across genres from seasons 1 and 2 of the Netflix series 'Kingdom' to the dramas 'Gugyeong', 'Connect', and 'Killers' Shopping Mall', plays 'Kim Min-sook', the long-time lover of Kang Sang-woong. Kim Min-sook, with the ultimate capital letter 'T', is a realistic person for whom efficiency is paramount and has an extraordinary sense and talent for numbers. Despite Kang Sang-woong's superpowers, which are hard to believe even after seeing her, she is an extraordinary and fierce girlfriend who starts by tapping into a calculator. She thinks that Kang Sang-woong's 'cashier' activities are inefficient as she has to pay for her own money, but she cheers and supports him more than anyone else.

Kim Byeong-cheol, who has written numerous life characters through dramas such as 'Doctor Cha Jeong-sook', 'SKY Castle', 'Descendants of the Sun', 'The Lonely and Brilliant God-Goblin', and 'Mr. Sunshine', took on the role of 'Attorney'. The ‘Attorney’, whose name is novel, is a lawyer with supernatural powers whose powers are activated when he drinks alcohol. He is the self-proclaimed head of the Korean Association of Supernatural Persons and stands against the 'Criminal Association', a mysterious group that hunts down psychics. He recognizes Kang Sang-woong, who has extraordinary abilities, and proposes that they save the world together.

'Bang Eun-mi', a superpower who can use telekinesis equal to the number of calories she consumes, has solid performances in movies such as 'Along with the Gods – Crime and Punishment', 'Along with the Gods-Casualty', 'The Witness', and the drama 'Joseon Psychiatrist Yoo Se-pung'. Kim Hyang-gi, who is trusted by the public, plays a passionate role. As her nickname 'Bbangmi' suggests, she is a hero who fights with a 'bread heart' rather than a rice spirit. She is fearless and a bit indifferent, but to Kang Sang-woong and lawyer, she is a friend with supernatural powers who is more dependable than anyone else.

'Cashier' is directed by Lee Chang-min, who showed sensuous and witty directing through the dramas 'Agency' and 'Eurachacha Waikiki', and Lee Je-in and Jeon Chan-ho, who were recognized for their solid writing skills in the drama 'Sisyphus: the myth'. The author is in charge of writing. Expectations are high on how the drama will portray the activities of heroes who are closely connected to reality and struggle to protect their normal daily lives against villains who are throwing the world into chaos.
