Director Park expressed through local media that he was happy to work with a bold and original production company.
Although 'Old Boy' has previously been remade into a movie in Hollywood, this is the first time it has been made into a TV series.
The production company explained that this series reflects the vivid emotions, symbolic action scenes, and visceral sensations of the movies, but the actors and airing date have not yet been revealed.
