The first look of 'Connection' Ji-sung's transformation into 'drug squad ace detective' Jang Jae-kyung was revealed.
SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Connection' (written by Lee Hyeon, directed by Kim Moon-kyo) is about an ace detective from the drug team who was forcibly addicted to drugs by someone, and uses the death of his friend as a clue to uncover the full story of the connection and the damaged friendship that lasted for 20 years. It is an ‘addiction chase suspense’ drama.
'Connection' attracts attention through the collaboration of writer Lee Hyun, who showed off the influence of an empathetic storyteller in 'Prosecutor's Civil War', and director Kim Moon-kyo, who showed off his unique perspective and rich directing skills in 'Trolley'. Here, trustworthy actors Ji-sung and Jeon Mi-do, individualistic actors Kwon Yul and Kim Kyung-nam appear, and it is attracting attention as the most anticipated work in the first half of 2024.
Ji Sung plays the role of Inspector Jang Jae-kyung of the narcotics team at Anhyeon Police Station in 'Connection', showing polar opposite emotions, from the majesty of an ace detective who receives the trust of his seniors and juniors in the police to the confusion of the ace detective of the narcotics team who is forcibly addicted to drugs. He shows off his hard work and delivers a passionate performance.
On the 23rd, a still cut of Ji-sung's first appearance as 'Drug Team Ace' detective Jang Jae-kyung was released. In the play, Jang Jae-kyung (Ji Seong) is widely recognized for his outstanding skills in apprehending criminals and is specially promoted to inspector.
