The bitter 'Pamyo', the first 10 million box office hit of 2024, continues to be a global box office hit.

'Pamyo' recently ranked as the highest-grossing Korean film of all time in Laos and Cambodia. In Cambodia, it showed off its surprising box office performance by becoming the highest-grossing Korean film of all time just two days after its release on Thursday, April 18. Additionally, in Laos, it surpassed 'Peninsula' and 'Train to Busan' to become the highest-grossing Korean film of all time in 11 days after its release on Thursday, April 4.

Purple Plan, a local distributor in charge of distributing Cambodia and Laos, said, “Cambodia and Laos have joined the box office box office hit list of 'Pamyo.' With its release, it is attracting more and more audiences, and audiences who are fascinated by feng shui and occult elements have responded enthusiastically, saying, “'Pamyo' has a fresh and unique concept that sets it apart from other movies.” On April 23 (Wednesday), 'Pamyo' surpassed 'Train to Busan' and 'The Host' in North America and ranked 4th in the all-time box-office Korean film, creating a global syndrome.

In addition, in Malaysia, it ranked 4th in terms of box office success for Korean films of all time, and in Hong Kong, it recorded the highest opening week score for a Korean film since 'Peninsula', which was released in July 2020. Edko, a local distributor in Hong Kong, said, “'Famyo' is creating a huge sensation among Hong Kong audiences with its strong presence. 'Famyo', which achieved excellent results from the opening week, proved the successful return of Korean films to the Hong Kong box office.” He praised it.

Meanwhile, in Indonesia and Vietnam, which had already swept the title of the highest-grossing Korean film of all time, the film broke new records day after day, attracting a cumulative audience of 2.6 million and 2.44 million on Thursday, April 18. In Australia and Thailand, it is also firmly maintaining its second and third place in the box office box office of Korean films, respectively.

'Pamyo', which is making an unstoppable run at the box office at home and abroad, has also confirmed its release in May in India, South Asia, Turkey, and Russia. Attention is being paid to the record-breaking global progress of 'Pamyo' that will continue.
