SBS' new Friday-Saturday drama 'Connection' released two main posters that hint at the struggles of Ji-sung, the ace detective of the drug team who is addicted to drugs.

SBS' new Friday-Saturday drama 'Connection' (written by Lee Hyeon, directed by Kim Moon-kyo), scheduled to air for the first time on May 24th (Friday), is about an ace detective from the narcotics team who was forcibly addicted to drugs by someone and begins a 20-year-long investigation using the death of his friend as a clue. It is an 'addiction chase suspense' drama that uncovers the full story of a distorted friendship and that connection.

'Connection' is attracting attention as writer Lee Hyun, who told a unique and relatable story in 'Prosecutor's Civil War', and director Kim Moon-kyo, who boasted meticulous directing in 'Trolley', meet. In addition, talented actors such as Ji-seong, Jeon Mi-do, Kwon Yul, and Kim Kyung-nam, who are updating their life-long characters in each work with their deep acting experience, are all in attendance, announcing the birth of a 'well-made crime drama' that will create a new wind in the small screen.

Jang Jae-kyung, played by Ji-sung, is an inspector in the narcotics team at Anhyeon Police Station and is an ace detective who is highly trusted within the police, but is forced to become addicted to drugs by someone and experiences trouble. In relation to this, two types of 'main posters' featuring Ji-seong of 'Connection' as Jang Jae-kyung, the main character who is the center of all narratives in the play and who will delve into the full story of the tangled connection, were released on the 30th and are attracting attention.

The 'main poster', played by Ji-sung passionately, arouses curiosity by showing Jang Jae-kyung keeping an eye on a mysterious pill in a dark police station. In particular, the 'main poster', which consists of full shots and close-ups, steals Jang Jae-kyung's attention by emphasizing her external and internal changes. Jang Jae-kyung, who watched from afar, rested her chin on the desk at the police station and looked at the pills with wary eyes, but Jang Jae-kyung, seen from up close, couldn't take her eyes off the pills and made a nervous expression, implying an extreme confrontation between reason and instinct.

It raises curiosity about whether the main character, Jang Jae-kyung, who fell into a trap from the beginning and was caught with a fatal weakness, will be able to hide his drug addiction and find the real culprit in the evil connection.

Before filming the 'main poster', Ji-sung set an example on the set by thoroughly preparing everything from head to toe tailored to Jang Jae-kyung. Ji-sung put all his effort into making Jang Jae-kyung's representative cut the best cut. Jisung repeatedly tried on different outfits and had meetings, and showed off his professionalism by trying out different facial expressions and poses during rehearsals. After completing his preparations, Ji-sung received an OK sign for each cut he took, and the staff members who watched him also expressed their enthusiastic admiration, creating a warm atmosphere.

The production team said, “Jisung is a meticulous actor who never wastes time. He proved himself to be a trustworthy person by showing his meticulousness even at the 'main poster' site.” They added, “'Connection' is about the main character riding a high pass.” “Please look forward to the first broadcast as it is a drama that contains all three elements: a hard road, a heart-pounding narrative, and an extreme mystery.”

'Connection' will premiere at 10 PM on Friday, May 24th, following 'Resurrection of the Seven'.
