Model and actor Kim Jin-kyung (27) is getting married to national soccer team goalkeeper Kim Seung-gyu (33).
According to Kim Jin-kyung's agency Sublime on the 29th, Kim Jin-kyung and Kim Seung-gyu will get married in June. It is known that the two became close through their common interest in soccer, and developed into a romantic relationship. Kim Jin-kyung, a former youth soccer player, is currently appearing on the SBS entertainment program ‘The Girls Who Hit Goal’.
Kim Jin-kyung took second place in ‘Challenge Supermodel Korea 3’ in 2012. She later appeared in the dramas 'Andante' (2017) and 'Perfume' (2019), where she also worked as an actress. She currently appears as a regular on 'The Goalkeeper' and plays as a tall midfielder for FC Gucheok.
Seung-gyu Kim started his professional career at Ulsan Hyundai in 2006 and played for Japan's Vissel Kobe and Kashiwa Reysol. From 2022 he plays for Al Shabaab FC in Saudi Arabia.
He is also active as a goalkeeper for the Korean national soccer team. He was selected for the national team for the 2014 Brazil World Cup and Incheon Asian Games, the 2018 Russia World Cup, the 2019 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup, and the 2022 Qatar World Cup. He was also selected for the 2023 AFC Qatar Asian Cup national team, but withdrew due to a cruciate ligament injury.
