Sandbox Network's co-founder and 2.34 million YouTuber 'First President' Dotty (real name Na Hee-seon) deleted the post and apologized when a photo taken on a railroad track became controversial.

Doty recently released a video on her SNS showing herself standing on a railroad track and taking pictures. This was to promote the opening of his own channel 'Dotty Space' on the online community 'Dears', a space for communication with his fans.

Afterwards, netizens raised issues about the fact that Doty entered a working railroad track rather than an abandoned one to film. The location where Dottie was photographed is the Yongsan Samgak Line, which connects the Gyeongbu Line and Gyeongwon Line, and it is illegal to enter the railroad tracks and take pictures without prior permission.

According to Article 48 of the Railway Safety Act, entering or passing through tracks or railway facilities prescribed by Ordinance of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport without the consent of the railway operator, etc. is prohibited. Violation of this will result in a fine of up to 5 million won.

Netizens raised the issue with reactions such as “Entering the tracks without permission is very dangerous,” “He is the first president, so what if children follow him?” and “Did he enter with permission?”

As the controversy grew, Doty deleted the post from social media. Afterwards, Sandbox Network posted an apology on social media.

Sandbox Network said, “Recently in the process of filming content with our creator Dottie, we have confirmed that we did not obtain prior permission to film facilities, and we apologize for this. As a result of internal confirmation, the background location was 'Triangle Baekbin Crossing' in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. “It was confirmed that the production team's prior investigation was not sufficient, so they mistook it for an abandoned ship, and prior permission was also omitted.”

“We made every effort to ensure that there were no safety issues during the filming process, but we apologize for causing inconvenience to many people as a result,” he said. “We acknowledge that there were shortcomings in the procedures, and we will discuss this with relevant organizations in the future.” “We will make sure to cooperate with any necessary procedures, such as collecting fines, and we will seek ways to prevent such problems from recurring and exercise caution throughout the entire filming process,” he expressed his reflection.
