Actor Ha Seok-jin was cast as the lead in the movie 'Sprint'.
'Sprint' is a movie that tells the story of Guyoung, a sprinter who is at the end of his prime and is burning his last flame. Ha Seok-jin plays Kang Gu-young, who broke the Korean record for the 100-meter run in track and field, which had not been broken for 30 years.
Contrary to expectations, 10 years have passed and 'Gooyoung' is at the end of his prime. Running is no longer fun and he regrets the path he has taken. Ha Seok-jin plans to show the story of Gu-young, who overcomes a period of wandering and achieves a new goal, in a variety of ways.
Koo Young is a character created with the motif of Kim Kook-young, the new record holder in Korean track and field, who achieved the feat of winning a bronze medal in the 400m relay for the first time in 37 years.
The movie will begin filming in May.
