When actor Lee Seo-han was caught up in suspicions of illegal filming, he explained the matter and apologized.
On the 2nd, Lee Seo-han released a short video on his SNS showing two people lying on a sofa and appearing to be engaging in sexual activity. Netizens who watched the video raised suspicions that it was illegally filmed and assumed that the location in the video appears to be singer Bang Ye-dam's studio. The video was soon deleted, but spread online and caused controversy.
As the controversy grew, Lee Seo-han began to explain and apologize through social media.
Seohan Lee explained, “The video uploaded yesterday was a prank between male friends,” and apologized, saying, “I’m sorry to Yedam and his fans that the location of the video was Yedam’s studio.”
He then bowed his head, saying, “I hope you will refrain from making assumptions and misunderstandings about this video in the future. I apologize for causing concern to those who watched the video. I will be careful.”
However, netizens continued to criticize Lee Seo-han's insufficient explanation, which only said that it was 'a joke between men.' This is because there was no explanation as to what process the video was taken in or whether consent was obtained from the person involved.
In response, Lee Seo-han released a second apology through social media, saying, “I feel like my explanation, which I kept quiet about out of fear and regret, has actually become controversial, so I muster the courage to post again.”
Lee Seo-han said, “My close friends often listened to music, watched movies, and drank alcohol at Yedam's studio. Yesterday, the five of us got together and had a drink, and after 12 o'clock, a drunk friend and Yedam went home. Me and The rest of the friends explained the situation in detail, saying, “In the process of having another drink, I uploaded a video of a staged situation to a private account, which is a common thing these days. It's not like it's an illegal video or anything like that.”
He continued, “As someone who dreams of becoming an actor, I sincerely apologize for causing controversy due to my immaturity. I sincerely apologize to everyone who was offended by the video and to the fans who care about me, and I will act more carefully in the future. I apologize once again. “I apologized repeatedly.”
Meanwhile, Lee Seo-han, born in 2002, is a new actor who debuted in January 2021 with the web drama ‘A Movie Without a Thing.’
