Group Espa member Winter underwent pneumothorax surgery.
On the 12th, SM Entertainment, the agency, said, “Winter is recovering from a recent pneumothorax surgery. As the disease is prone to recurrence, the decision was made to perform the surgery after sufficient discussion as a preemptive measure based on the opinions of the medical staff.”
Pneumothorax refers to a disease that causes a hole in the lung to leak air, causing air or gas to accumulate in the pleural space.
The agency said, “Future schedules will be conducted with Winter’s recovery status as the top priority.”
Espa is preparing a new album with the goal of making a comeback next month. A second world tour is also scheduled, starting in Seoul in June.
