Hyun Joo-yeop's side strongly protested, “'True Story Exploration Team' did not reflect the position… it only increased the controversy.”

Whimoon High School basketball coach and broadcaster Hyun Joo-yeop complained of injustice on MBC's 'True Story Expedition' broadcast.

On the 19th, the agency TN Entertainment expressed its frustration by saying, “'True Story Expedition' broadcasted the broadcast without 100% reflecting our position. As a result, the controversy surrounding director Hyun Joo-yeop has only increased further.”

'True Story Expedition', which aired the previous day, dealt with allegations of director Hyun Joo-yeop's neglect of work and abuse of power. Hyun Joo-yeop took office as the coach of his alma mater, Whimoon High School, in November last year. However, last February, a parent of a basketball team member filed a petition with the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education regarding Hyun Joo-yeop's neglect of work. However, other parents of Whimoon High School's basketball team claimed that the contents of the petition were not true and that Hyun Joo-yeop's concurrent broadcasting activities also received consent.

Hyun Joo-yeop's agency said, “We have cooperated sincerely since the 'True Story Exploration Team' began reporting on the suspicions of director Hyun Joo-yeop. We have confirmed on several occasions that the various suspicions surrounding director Hyun Joo-yeop are 'false facts.' “I answered sincerely by securing and providing evidence such as testimony and screenshots of messenger conversations,” he said, expressing his feelings of injustice.

He continued, “The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education has been conducting an audit on suspicions related to Director Hyun Joo-yeop since the 15th. Director Hyun Joo-yeop has stated that he will follow the results of the audit regardless of whether they are true or not.” He added, “We are spreading false information about Director Hyun Joo-yeop. “We are preparing strong legal action without leniency or agreement against those who seek to slander us.”

He added, “We sincerely bow our heads in apology to the students and parents who are going through a harder time than anyone else.”
